The Boardwalk is regarded as the destination of choice on the west side of Kitchener-Waterloo, as the host of dozens of retailers, variety of dining options, extensive medical services, entertainment, and gathering space. Appreciated for its mix of unique stores and convenient access to national chains, their community-focus goes far beyond providing retail enjoyment.

Along with a strong environmental initiatives, The Boardwalk also supports numerous hospital fundraisers, charity carnivals, neighbourhood associations, bake sales and other initiatives to promote the local community.
