Providing wraparound support to people experiencing violence.
Providing Resources in the Community
Through the Early Intervention Program, a Women’s Crisis Services worker spends dedicated time with Waterloo Regional Police Services to provide resources and support to couples experiencing domestic violence.
Couples who have two intimate partner violence service calls in two months receive a call from our Outreach worker to provide information about Women’s Crisis Services support services and the Early Intervention Program. The Early Intervention Program is based out of the Family Violence Project.
This program allows us to provide couples with more support, sooner.
What is the Family Violence Project?
The Family Violence Project of Waterloo Region is a welcoming, supportive space where community partners work together from one location.
